Office Overview The Law Office of Gregory R. Terra was established in 2005, dedicated to providing professional and experienced criminal defense representation in Williamson County, Texas for a reasonable and straightforward fee. Although we primarily represent clients charged with misdemeanor cases in Williamson County, we also handle many felony cases as well, and typically have cases in one or more of the surrounding counties. Before 2005, Greg served as a prosecutor with the office of the Williamson County Attorney, handling literally hundreds of criminal cases and earning a successful trial record. Having worked in the county now for several years, he knows the local judges, prosecutors, staff, and procedures, the importance of which cannot be overestimated. Some attorneys advertise that they are a former prosecutor, but fail to disclose that they never held that position Williamson County. One distinctive of our office is that we seek to be very professional, yet simple, approachable, and affordable. We have a modest office in Georgetown, the Williamson County seat, not an opulent suite in the skies overlooking downtown Austin, a business luxury that you will be paying for and won't make any difference in the final disposition of your case.
Although we hope to obtain a dismissal or reduction in every case, we won't mislead you about the chances in your case at a free initial consultation, just to obtain your business. If we are hired to represent you, we will provide you with honest advice about the chances of winning a trial, not self-serving advice to obtain a trial fee in a case where we have very little chance of winning. We also pride ourselves in maintaining good communications with each client throughout the entire process, promising to return all of our client's telephone calls the same business day. Criminal Cases Handled Over the last four years our office has been hired to represent clients in over 525 criminal cases, over a third of which have been either dismissed or reduced. Most of the cases we are hired to handle are for one of the following: -
-
Drugs (over 100 cases defended) -
Theft (over 55 cases defended) -
